Kind words during this holiday season
December 5th, 2008An email from a Soldier in Afghanistan, dated 05 Dec 08:
I would just like to take this time to thank all of you for your kind words during this holiday season. I wish that I had the time to sit down and write to each of you individually but I have received over 100 letters and stay very busy. I have shared all of the cards that were sent to me with my Soldiers and it really boosted their spirits. Its always great to know that we are being supported by great American citizens like you. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from [battalion X].
Very Respectfully
N.W.

My time here is drawing to a close and I wanted to thank you and the people that support your website. The cards you sent went pretty quickly, and were greatly appreciated.
I am going to give you the Chaplain’s email address in case you want to continue your support of [our] Battalion.
Again, thanks for the support for the time I have been over here. You made a big difference for the Marines over here, and their families.Sincerely,
T.P.
The Marines absolutely loved them!
November 28th, 2008An email from a Marine in Iraq, dated 27 Nov 08:
Happy Thanksgiving! We received the package yesterday and have already given out a lot of cards. The Marines absolutely loved them! We plan on sending you some pictures that I took of the Marines with the cards. Also we want to write some of the children letters thanking them for their caring thoughts. For the most part I have the addresses on their letters. Can you please express our sincere thanks to all the volunteers.
We truly appreciate all that you do for us.

Too many WOWs to count
November 26th, 2008From an Airman in Iraq, dated 25 Nov 08:
I received your package today and I was pleasantly surprised. You and your group have made us completely happy. There were too many WOWs to count, the cards were beautiful and very creative. I particularly liked that the majority of them were blank inside leaving plenty of room to write. Thank you again for your hard work and remembering us.
If it’s ok, I would like to keep your e-mail on hand just incase there are any specific cards we might have trouble getting our hands on out here.

100 cards = 100 moments of relief, hope and joy
November 25th, 2008An email from a wife of one of our heroes who receives cards, and she is also a CFH cardmaker. Dated 25 Nov 08:
That was an amazing video. I am so happy and feel so blessed to be an Air Force wife and be a cardmaker. You brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes with that video!
You are doing such a wonderful thing. I got my first card just a few days ago; as I was reading I was so happy to have gotten something in the mail. And then once I was done and walking into work, I then thought of how worth it all the time I out into the 100 cards that I made and the 450 envelope donations I had gotten, because all of that time will be 100 moments like I had just had of relief, hope and joy. You are doing such an amazing thing words can not describe my gratitude! WHENEVER ya’ll need anything please let me know!
