Soldiers came in droves
October 23rd, 2008An email from a soldier in Kuwait, dated 21 Oct 08:
We (the Xth Transportation Battalion, also known as the “DOERS") received your second box of cards with Thanksgiving, kids b-day, and other great cards. Thank you!! As soon as word got out that another box of cards had arrived, the Soldiers came in droves. It was great to see. You would have loved to see it. Mail headed back home has been slow lately, so Soldiers are already sending Thanksgiving cards home. The Halloween cards that I sent to my daughters (age 2 and 4) arrived and they love them. My wife thought that they were absolutely beautiful.
I have included a picture of our battalion headquarters company during our convoy training in Kuwait, so you can see some of the faces that you are helping.
Thank you again for your gift and your generosity.Have a great day!!
Thank you,
J.C.

Cards will make a positive impact
August 14th, 2008From an Army Chaplain in Afghanistan, dated 13 Aug 08:
I want to thank each of you for supporting our new ministry outreach to soldiers. Your donations/coordination sending greeting cards here for our troops will make a positive impact on them. I have attached a few pictures of our Greeting Card display and Bookshelf. These resources are maintained in our chapel here at FOB XX.
I have attached an address listing of our other locations and points of contacts there. Please feel comfortable in sending some cards to them as well.
Again, thank you for making a difference.
Respectfully,
CH W.D.
This contact received 300 cards, plus we made them the sign above their display - using patterned papers by Creative Imaginations and “Thickers” (alphabet stickers) by American Crafts:

Thanks to all the companies who have been donating supplies!
We just want thank each and everyone
July 31st, 2008From a Marine in Afghanistan, dated 30 July 08; this unit was part of our recent ’surge’ of blank cards and AnyHero cards to lift morale for extended heroes:
We just want thank each and everyone for supporting us and our platoons while we are here in Afghanistan. Our platoons enjoyed everything and anything that was sent our way. Please continue to support us, we have been extended for another month. The Marines were pretty down about that decision but all was soon forgotten when you all send these wonderful care packages with these notes and cards that says, we care about you, or thank you or we are praying for you. Once again thank you for all that you do and keep us in your prayers.
Sincerely,
Cpl G and Sgt G

I thank you again for all that you're doing!
April 3rd, 2008From a soldier in Afghanistan as updated on her Anysoldier profile, dated 02 Feb 08:
I apologize for the late update. Two of my male soldiers have already redeployed back to North Carolina. Other than that, there are no further updates. I have attached a photo of me and my NCOIC during February when it was nice and snowy outside. I thank you again for all that you’re doing!
